Why White UV Stretch Wrap is Better Than Clear — And Why It’s So Hard to Find
Share
Most stretch wrap on the market is clear cast film. It works fine for indoor pallets that ship same-day. But if you need pallets to sit outdoors, cross hot climates, or store sensitive product — clear wrap won’t cut it.
UV radiation from sunlight breaks down standard polyethylene within weeks. The wrap becomes brittle, tears, and your load falls apart. White UV-stabilized stretch wrap contains additives that block UV rays and protect the film for 6+ months outdoors.
White wrap also conceals contents — no one can see what’s on the pallet. That’s a security feature for high-value shipments.
Why is white UV stretch wrap so hard to find?
Most US distributors (Uline, Grainger, WebstaurantStore) carry clear wrap as their standard stock. White is a special order. UV white is even rarer — it requires different additives in the manufacturing process that most factories don’t offer as a standard product.
We found a factory partner (CGT / Chengdu Guangzhen) that produces white UV 6-month stretch wrap as a standard SKU. We buy direct, warehouse in Las Vegas, and ship to you at well below specialty-market pricing.
